Nice walkthrough but how can you test that the SMTP service is actually working?

Mine’s a lot worse. I only have “Alert Me” active on the ribbon; everything else is grayed out. Crap!!

I had this problem before setting x64 instead of x86. then i set x64 as target platform. When i am log in with spadmin credentials its works fine but its not work while i am log in with ordinary user account

Thanks Russell. I had to tweak the code a little to make your example work. Basically where it says

string XpathForTopazMessage = “/my:Fields/my:TopazMessage”;
AND
string XpathForSignatureImage = “/my:Fields/my:SignatureImage”;

The xpath is incorrect. In order to get the correct XPath, just get it from Infopath by right clicking on the My Fields on the right and selecting Copy XPath.

Corrected XPath
“/my:myFields/my:TopazMessage”;
“/my:myFields/my:SignatureImage”;
